We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Competitive Swim Clinic, for our dedicated and competitive swimmers at McCandless Swim Club. This is a unique opportunity for swimmers to enhance their skills under the guidance of the esteemed instructor, Corky Semler and will be assisted by some of the current and former members of the North Allegheny swimming team.

- Dates: July 28th to July 31st
- Time: 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM
- Location: McCandless Swim Club
- Cost: $75 per participant
The Competitive Swim Clinic is designed for swimmers who have a grasp on the 4 competitive strokes and who are eager to refine their technique and take their swimming abilities to the next level. It is open to a limited number of 50 swimmers to ensure personalized attention and focused coaching. It is not appropriate for younger kids who don’t have recognizable competitive technique in all 4 strokes.
In 1978, Corky embarked on a coaching and teaching career at North Allegheny. Over his 35-year tenure, and then coming back for two additional years in 2022 and 2023 the combined girls' and boys' teams at North Allegheny achieved a record of 671-84-6. His coaching accolades include 65 section titles, 29 WPIAL championships, 10 PIAA titles, and 7 PIAA runner-up finishes. Corky is a member of the Gateway High School Hall of Fame, the Pennsylvania Hall of Fame (East Boro's Chapter and in addition the Western region Chapter), the North Allegheny Hall of Fame and the Pennsylvania Swimming hall of fame. When he first retired in 2013, he was the winningness high school swimming coach in Pennsylvania history.

After a specified period, any remaining spots will be made available to non-members.
